What we do

Red Bear Artificial Intelligence builds enterprise decision intelligence software. Our platform sits at the moment a decision is made — in a meeting, in an email, inside an ERP or CRM system, or inside an AI agent — and captures what was decided, by whom, on what evidence and under which policy.

We are based in Abu Dhabi and build on Microsoft Azure. Red Bear: Enterprise Decision Intelligence governs decisions across people, agents and applications, and the Enterprise Decision Governance book series sets out the thinking behind it.

Why we exist

Authority has been distributed faster than judgement

Work has been pushed outwards and downwards — to automated systems, to AI agents, to outsourced teams, and to junior staff in contact centres and sales functions. Each group now makes decisions that were previously made by more experienced people with more context.

Organisations have distributed the authority without distributing the judgement, and without building any mechanism to see what is being decided. Meanwhile the cost of being unable to explain a decision after the fact is rising: fair-treatment regulation, algorithmic accountability requirements and ordinary public scrutiny all converge on the same demand — show us how this decision was made, and on what basis.

That is the problem both our platforms exist to solve. Not better analytics on what already happened, but a record and a control at the moment of decision.

You may recognise this

  • You have distributed authority faster than judgement — to front-line staff, to outsourced teams, and now to AI agents.
  • You cannot currently answer who decided something, on what basis, or under which rule, without commissioning an investigation.
  • You are introducing AI agents into decisions with commercial and regulatory consequence, and governing them as software rather than as decision makers.
  • You need a control your auditors accept and your operators do not route around.

Our approach

How we think about AI, decision intelligence and governance

Policy decides, the model explains

Language models normalise, score and explain. A deterministic, versioned policy engine makes the call. That separation is what makes a decision defensible to an auditor, a regulator or a board — and it holds whether the decision maker was a person, an application or an agent.

Record the reasoning, not just the transaction

Enterprises hold exhaustive records of what they did and almost none of why. We capture the rationale, the alternatives considered, the expected outcome and the exact policy version in force, so a decision can be replayed years later.

Guardrails, not gates

Binary permission systems block sensible actions and breed workarounds, and a bypassed control provides no assurance at all. We give leaders a discretionary range they can widen where it is earned and narrow where it is not, with every exception attributed rather than hidden.

Evidence before breadth

We would rather put one defensible control into production on a single decision class than claim coverage we cannot demonstrate. Every engagement starts with a baseline so the change can be measured rather than argued.

Working with us

Proof before breadth

We would rather put one defensible control into production on a single decision class than claim coverage we cannot demonstrate.

Every engagement starts with a fixed-scope pilot and a baseline back-filled from your own decision history. The metrics that follow come from your register, measured against that baseline. We publish no benchmark we cannot reproduce from a live engagement.

A consulting element is built into every plan, because a customer's first policy is always wrong in one direction or the other — too loose, so unacceptable decisions pass, or too aggressive, so managers drown in approvals and start approving without reading. Someone has to sit with you while that gets tuned.
